Semester A – The Convergence Task
We’ve had the introduction to the module, and know what we’re doing for our deadlines (week 11 & 13). Each two weeks we have a different tutor to show us a different set of skills: Motion Graphics, Branding Design & Desktop Publishing, Visual Effects, and Digital Interactions, which we have to combine to make one of our final piece’s, a “1 Minute Me” personal branded digital profile. Time to get thinking.
For the first two weeks I have Motion Graphics with Graham Cooper
In the first session we’ve done reminder tasks on after effects to fully recall everything we learned last year, then learned more with creating shapes and adding trim paths and other effects to make them appear/move. After that we moved onto Illustrator, properly using the pen tool to morph and design our own shapes we could use for our 1 minute me animation, and the task given for practice was to make Pacman and a music note, and finally make something that relates to us, and animate it. I chose a snowboard going over a mountain. Next week: Branding Design.
